Charon - New god concept for SMITE

Concepts for the new god in Smite, Charon! The assignment was making a skeleton feel really thick... and a boat. While also feeling like he belonged with the other Greek pantheon gods while also being visually distinct. Challenge accepted!
Learned a lot about shape language and what makes a character actually feel 'big.'
Loved how he turned out and the cinematic is amazing!

the boat was going to be a pain in 2D for turnarounds, so I just modeled it out! The ol 3DS modeling skills might be a little dusty, but they still work
